Equipment

  • Stand Mixer

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg Large
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a stand mixture fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the softened butter and both sugars (white and brown) on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop cookies into 1 tbsp-sized portions and space evenly on the baking sheet. Add additional chocolate chips on top of each cookie, if desired.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before moving to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy!
